Lansing Fire Station #6
A public works, design and construction project incorporating highly functional space, cost-effective materials, and the application of patterns which make dramatic use of both artificial and natural light. By day, natural sunlight interacts with structural elements to create a ladder of light and shadow on the facility’s exterior.

Michigan High School Athletic Association
This 18,500-square-foot corporate office building was designed from construction through interior concept and landscaping. Both the interior and exterior of this building suggest a high school sports facility, reflecting the image and purpose of the organization.

Whitworth Borta, Inc.
Corporate home for airport consulting engineers, this 6,600-square-foot facility was designed through construction, interior concept and landscaping. The vaulting architectural elements capture the essence of flight, and light moves across the façade to create the feeling of movement and strength.

Pace & Partners
Part of the interior and exterior reconstruction of an early 20th-century warehouse, the workspace for this marketing and advertising firm reflects the highly creative atmosphere of an open office. The interior design concept blends existing wood structures with a contemporary feel that takes its cue from a red Craftsman toolbox, which is repeated in all practical storage and decorative elements.

Allied Office Interiors
The opposing curves and angles, and the use of color, pattern and texture collectively direct movement throughout the space and encourage interaction. As a result, the space acts as a catalyst to spark the imagination and creativity of both staff and visitors to this business furniture firm.

Michigan High School Athletic Association (interior)
The interior design elements of this facility incorporate several sports themes related to this organization’s mission—and even incorporate open ceilings and exposed lighting to resemble a gymnasium. Hardwood floors similar in style to a basketball court add to the effect, creating an atmosphere of play and fun, within the rules of the games the association oversees.
